They won't let me get a Mental Health Evaluation

Some people ask, "Why don't you just go through a mental health examination like Judge Humphrey ordered?" They won't let me. I found a psychiatrist, not a psychologist like Dr. Connor, that would do the evaluation. Opposing counsel, Angela G Loechel, said they were not in agreement with my psychiatrist because somehow they did not thing that a psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience was qualified. When my lawyer filed a motion to approve the psychiatrist, Judge James D. Humphrey set a hearing on the matter three months in advance. I waited for my court date on June 14, 2010, but Judge Humphrey recused himself just 5 days before the hearing. Judge Humphrey was a coward; just like Dr. Connor. These bullies can dish it out but they bury their heads in the sand when they are held accountable for their actions. So now I have to wait for a new judge.

If people who read this blog think that I am harassing, slandering, and/or threatening individuals like Dr. Edward J Connor and Judge James D Humphrey, tell them to sue me or to file charges against me. Why haven't I been held in contempt of court? Why haven't there been any protective orders issued? Why did Judge Humphrey deny my ex-wife's attempts to have my internet writings taken down? Why did Hamilton County Judge Duane Mallory tell me "good luck" after he dismissed the bogus telecommunication harassment charge that my ex-wife filed against me for calling my children on the phone? It's because I follow the laws and I haven't done anything illegal.

Someone who goes by the name Anonymous calls me a coward. I don't think a coward is someone who calls Judge James D. Humphrey a child abuser, calls Dearborn County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard a spineless and corrupt public official, and calls Dr. Edward J Connor a sick sexual pervert who rapes the pocketbooks of parents so children can be abused; all while signing "Dan Brewington" behind his writings. A coward isn't someone who invites all of these crooked people to sue him or arrest him if they think the man has done something wrong. Cowards are professionals like Humphrey, Connor, and lawyers like Angela G Loechel who cry about aggressive legal strategies from non-attorneys being "intimidating." Criminal harassment and intimidation can be prosecuted. These people can get restraining orders. They can file libel or slander lawsuits. They know how to do these things because they do it for a living. If they truly believe that I am a threat to anyone, why do these people fail to follow the normal procedure in dealing with criminal and civil offenses? Because it isn't slander if it is true and they can't cheat in front of a jury of my peers.

Once again I would like to extend a formal invitation to Dr. Edward J Connor, Dearborn County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard, Dearborn Circuit Judge James D. Humphrey, Attorney Angela G. Loechel, Ripley Circuit Judge Carl H. Taul, or anyone else who feels they have been wronged by me: "Sue me or arrest me or quit whining." I'm really getting tired of these lawyers crying about being manhandled by a loving father who has an Associates Degree in General Studies from the University of Cincinnati. Maybe that's why they are scared. I would be scared if I was a lawyer who took a public flogging from a non-attorney and was afraid to do anything about it. I hope the next Judge will understand that my children won't have a father until the court allows me to follow the court's orders. Once again; sue me, arrest me, or crawl back into your hole and never come out.

Shame on you and your client, Angela G. Loechel.

I just received the word from opposing counsel Angela Loechel that my ex-wife still does not agree with the psychiatrist I chose to evaluate me to see if I am a danger to anyone. My ex-wife believes that the evaluation should be performed by an “unbiased” mental health professional and not anyone with any connections to the Affinity Center, where I have sought treatment for ADHD for over eight years. Apparently, they believe that the people who have the most experience in evaluating and treating me are the least qualified to determine if I “may” present a danger to anyone. They believe that the Affinity Center or anyone connected with the Affinity Center may lie about me not being a danger to anyone just to “hook me up.” Ms. Loechel wrote, “Frankly, I am extremely concerned about Mr. Brewington’s apparent apprehension to obtain an unbiased mental health evaluation in this matter, as the purpose of the evaluation is to determine whether or not he is a danger to my client or the children.”

First it is worthy to mention that Judge James D. Humphrey ruled that I had to undergo a mental health evaluation to determine if I could have supervised visitation with the children in a therapeutic environment. This supervised visitation is to be supervised by another mental health professional. Angela Loechel is extremely concerned that the psychiatrist I chose is not going to be able to accurately determine if it is safe for me to have supervised visitation with my children in the care of another mental health professional. She believes that an “unbiased” evaluator would be better. The last “unbiased” professional Angela Loechel and her client proposed was Dr. Edward J. Connor.

How unbiased was Dr. Connor? Dr. Connor said he would not release the case file from the custody evaluation to me because I was not a lawyer. Dr. Connor sent copies of my correspondence and/or records to Angela G. Loechel but failed to provide me with copies of any of their correspondence and/or Ms. Loechel’s client’s records. Dr. Connor had Ms. Loechel’s client sign a bogus Office Policy Statement which Ms. Loechel submitted to court to obstruct my access to the case file. According to Angela Loechel’s billing statements, Ms. Loechel had phone conversations with Dr. Connor just prior to the final hearing in my divorce and even gave Dr. Connor legal advice to help keep Dr. Connor’s wife and partner, Dr. Sara Jones-Connor, from having to testify in court. Ms. Loechel and her client attacked me for publicizing the unethical conduct of their expert and continued to blame me for their legal expenses even after it was discovered that Ms. Loechel submitted a false document from Dr. Connor’s office nearly a year before the final hearing and it was Ms. Loechel’s expert that continued to communicate with Judge Carl H. Taul outside the presence of the parties which led to Judge Taul removing himself from the case. Ms. Loechel continued to communicate and send information to Dr. Ed Connor after the final divorce decree was issued. Now Ms. Loechel is complaining that I tried to get an evaluation so I can review the results before it could be submitted to court. No, I am just trying to save a little money and use the evaluation that I received after Ms. Loechel’s client had me arrested for trying to maintain a phone relationship with my children.

The following is a statement from Angela Loechel:

“[The psychiatrist’s] association with Mr. Brewington as an evaluator prior to his approval in this action and for the purpose of his defense in the criminal case in Hamilton County, Ohio, is even more problematic. I have no idea why Mr. Brewington would hire a mental health evaluator to defend against a telephone harassment charge, except in an attempt to get a mental health evaluation of which Mr. Brewington would know the results of prior to attempting to submit the same to this Court.”

There was nothing in the final decree of my divorce that prohibited me from maintaining a relationship with my daughters on the phone. My ex-wife “allowed” me to speak to the girls from August 19, 2009 until she stopped all phone conversations between my daughters and me on September 5, 2009. Rather than trying to file a contempt charge against me in the Indiana Court for calling the children on the phone per the Indiana Parenting Guidelines, Ms. Loechel’s client filed criminal charges against me in Hamilton County, Ohio. Not only did I face a criminal record because Ms. Loechel’s client decided to have me arrested in Ohio rather than follow Indiana law, now Ms. Loechel is second guessing my criminal lawyer’s legal strategy to build a defense against her client’s false criminal complaint. The criminal trial was set for a jury hearing and I had no way of defending my credibility because my ex-wife submitted the final decree in my divorce which claimed that I may be a potential danger to my children. Judge Humphrey based his decision on Dr. Connor’s testimony. Since Angela Loechel successfully argued that I should not have a copy of the evidence supporting the testimony against me from her “unbiased” expert, I needed an expert in case there was any question about my mental stability. Fortunately the Hamilton County Prosecutor recommended dismissing the charges because she felt my ex-wife was trying to retaliate against me. Now Angela Loechel is accusing me of taking advantage of being arrested as a result of her client’s irresponsible attempts to keep her children away from their father.

What are they really afraid of? They are afraid of the inevitable. It is only a matter of time before a mental health professional says there is nothing wrong with me and they are appalled that a parent could lose the ability to see his children while being denied the evidence against him. Ms. Loechel and her client want control of who evaluates me so they can have some input in the evaluation. Ms. Loechel and her client argued that my parenting time should be limited because I have ADHD, yet they argue that I should not be evaluated by a professional with a connection with the facility that has treated my ADHD for the better part of a decade. If Ms. Loechel has the ability to contact the professional who evaluates me, she will have the ability to have her own private conversations with the expert just as she did with Dr. Connor. Then Ms. Loechel can argue that I shouldn’t have access to the evidence against me because I may misuse it. I would think Ms. Loechel would have an interest in keeping Dr. Connor’s case file under wraps because it may contain inappropriate contact between Dr. Connor and her.

Ms. Loechel and her client are focused on two things: concealing Dr. Connor’s evaluation case file and arguing over which mental health professional evaluates me; neither of which are going to help expedite the children’s return to their father. Judge Taul told Ms. Loechel that if I release any confidential information about her client, it would be a civil matter. Ms. Loechel and her client worked to deprive my daughters’ right to question why Dr. Connor filed a report that he claimed contained “numerous errors and oversights” and the right to question why Dr. Connor and my ex-wife appear to be the only people in the world that have difficulties understanding me. Ms. Loechel and her client failed to file any motions to modify parenting time during the 2 ½ year divorce where the children were in my care nearly half the time. They did not file any physical restraining orders. The only time Ms. Loechel and her client tried to limit my parenting time was during the final hearing of the divorce. Now, after no testimony or evidence from anyone that my mental health would present an emotional or physical danger to anyone, Ms. Loechel and her client are arguing that I may be able to trick mental health experts into believing that I am not dangerous or that anyone who has previously met with me may lie and say I am not dangerous. If they believe that I am trying to trick a mental health professional into believing me, then it would be a lot less likely that I would be able to fool the people who have been treating my ADHD for 8 ½ years than a new expert. It is ridiculous for them to believe that my expert or treating therapist/doctor would risk their professional career just to lie for me and say that I am not a danger. It’s even more ridiculous for them to insist on me seeing an “unbiased” evaluator to get the most accurate evaluation while refusing to allow the new evaluator to have access to Dr. Connor’s case file which would give the new evaluator all the information necessary to come to an informed conclusion regarding the safety of the children.

It does not matter who I see. Any professional is going to say, “Why are you here?” and I will say, “I’m here because Dr. Connor said I might be dangerous but my ex-wife and her lawyer will not let you see how he came to that conclusion. They claim it may be dangerous to release the information that explains why I may be dangerous.” I’m going to take in all of Dr. Connor’s statements where he lied about the release of the case file and where he lied about his Office Policy Statement during his May 27, 2009 testimony. Then I would direct the evaluator’s attention to my web content and explain how I publicized my experience to help other parents. I would tell them that my ex-wife had me arrested because she did not want me to maintain a relationship with my daughters. I would tell them that my ex-wife told my daughter’s school to call the police if I appeared at the school for any reason despite the absence of a court order prohibiting me from doing so. I would explain how hard people have worked to damage the relationship between a father and his daughters. Then I would tell the expert that I have not broken any laws and I have never threatened or harmed anyone during my efforts to ensure my daughters have the ability to grow up with both parents. It does not matter if it is my own expert or the psychologist appointed by the Hamilton County Court; they are all going to see what a travesty the situation is. That’s what Ms. Loechel and her client fear. If they cannot find anyone to agree with the notion that I am a dangerous father, it will be apparent that all of their efforts have only served to deny two beautiful little girls the ability to see their father for an entire year. If they were truly concerned about my daughters’ well being, Ms. Loechel and her client would allow me to have all of the information possible to help a mental health professional form an accurate opinion of my psychological well-being. Defending Dr. Connor’s actions are more important to them than allowing my children to have a father. Ms. Loechel and her client’s only hope is to find a professional that they can have private conversations with and hope that they can conceal records; just as Ms. Loechel did with Dr. Edward J. Connor Psy D. I love you girls. Daddy will keep fighting to protect your ability to grow up with mommy, daddy, and their families.

Dr. Edward J. Connor Psy D; Gun for Hire

Here is the latest case coming out of the Kentucky Appellate Court that involves Dr. Edward J. Connor Psy D, of Connor and Associates in Erlanger, Kentucky. Seth Smith was convicted of stabbing a man in the chest and the leg. One of the issues Mr. Smith appealed was the trial court's exclusion of a portion of Dr. Connor's psychiatric report. The trial court claimed the specific portion of Dr. Connor's report could not be admitted because “[Dr. Connor] would be testifying as to what was actually in the Defendant’s mind at the time he committed the offense.” Dr. Connor’s report of his findings after treating Seth Smith for more than two years and participating in over forty therapy sessions with Mr. Smith, stated:

"I can only state that in my clinical opinion although Mr. Smith had made significant improvement in psychotherapy, at that moment, he felt frightened that he would be assaulted and acted in a manner which he felt was necessary to defend himself. One can certainly question his judgment at that moment in time and can also consider in hindsight that there would have been a better way to protect himself, such as leaving the car."

Unfortunately for Mr. Smith, the Appellate Court agreed with the trial court's ruling and agreed that Dr. Ed Connor's mind reading abilities should not be admissible as evidence. The Appellate Court did reverse one of Seth Smith's arguments. The Appellate Court ruled that Mr. Smith's prior assault conviction should not have been admitted into the record. Mr. Smith had previously been convicted of stabbing his mother.

I wonder if Dr. Connor felt that Seth Smith was frightened and acted in self defense when he stabbed his mother? This is what makes my head hurt. Dr. Connor testified that he was concerned about my mental stability because I questioned his practices, yet Dr. Connor gave Seth Smith the benefit of the doubt in Mr. Smith's second stabbing. Coincidence and bad luck go out the window when the victim of your first stabbing conviction is your mother.

I find it frightening that judges like James D. Humphrey and Carl H. Taul use Dr. Connor to determine the futures of children of separated parents. How reassuring is it to know that the Children's Home of Northern Kentucky has Dr. Connor educate and oversee their psychological staff? Does Dr. Connor use tarot cards or crystal balls while he is working with courts? Seth Smith was drunk when he stabbed the victim. Did Dr. Connor evaluate Mr. Smith while he was drunk? Even if you accept that Dr. Connor could understand how Mr. Smith may have felt in the past, how could Dr. Connor speculate what emotions were going through Seth Smith's mind when he was drunk and stabbing someone? Who needs the court system when Dr. Connor can read people's minds like a Marvel comic book character? It just goes to show that Dr. Connor will say anything for a buck. Dear Family Court Professionals, If you lie, I'm going to write about it.

It’s amazing what lengths people will go to in an effort to win. Why would a lawyer lie in a brief to the appellate court? That is what my ex-wife’s appellate lawyer, Leanna Weissmann, did. Maybe it was necessary given that there really isn’t a logical explanation for ripping a father away from two little girls.

Before I get started, I would like to tell any judge presiding over my case that they should refrain from reading this even though Leanna Weissmann snuck in some ex parte evidence regarding a new website and invited the appellate judges to review the new internet postings in my ex-wife’s brief to the Indiana Court of Appeals. Ms. Weissmann wrote, “Husband continues to post about the court system which now include references to this appeal. As of April 23, 2010, he maintained several sites with derogatory comments about many of the people involved in his case including Judge Humphrey. See e.g. http://Husbandhelpskids.com/index.html; http://Husbandbrewington.blogspot.com/. I am not aware why Ms. Weissmann felt compelled to refer to a website that wasn’t created until 6 months after the final hearing in my divorce but I am sure that she is aware of the appellate rules that forbid the court to review new, ex parte evidence. And I don’t know why she mentioned Judge Humphrey. My statements about Judge Humphrey have nothing to do with the appeal, other than it being just a cheap shot to tattle on me for talking about Judge Humphrey in an effort to gain favoritism with other judges. I felt compelled to write about my ex-wife’s appellee brief in the case that an Appellate Judge would take Leanna Weissmann’s illegal advice and check out the websites and new evidence for themselves. Since my lawyer follows the rules and is unable to offer new evidence, I’m just putting the information on my blog and website to explain why I am fighting for my daughters and how my attorney and I do not resort to dishonest measures that can damage children’s relationships with their parents.

The best place to start is probably near the end of the Appellee’s (my ex-wife’s) brief. Rather than just make a case for her client, Leanna Weissmann strikes out to speculate what my defense against their accusations might be. She wrote, “While husband will likely defend his behavior as aggressive litigating on behalf of his kids, a quick review of the Record should convince this Court otherwise.” This has been the whole song and dance from the very beginning. For some reason, none of these legal professionals seem to grasp that I am only doing this for my children. What I find rather ironic, is the appellate lawyer for my ex-wife is starting the debate of whether or not I am an aggressive litigator. That’s rather flattering considering that Leanna Weissmann wrote that one of the reasons Judge Humphrey justified his decision to terminate my parenting time was “Husband has Attention Deficit Disorder affecting his ability to concentrate.” Given that there are no facts that demonstrate that I am a danger to my children, they tattled on me for questioning judges and made things up.

Leanna Weissmann wrote, “Husband blogged and continued to post confidential information on the web after being ordered not to.” On April 29, 2009, Judge Humphrey held a hearing on my ex-wife’s motion requesting the Court force me to take down my internet content. On May 14, 2009, the orders from the Court were filed DENYING her motion. Ms. Weissmann made the above statement claiming it was justification for the Court ordering “Supervised Visitation.” Just for the record, Judge Humphrey did not order supervised visitation; he ordered NO VISITATION. Ms. Weissmann made up the supervised visitation order because the no visitation order was indefensible. Judge Humphrey only ordered me to take down my internet postings if I wanted UNsupervised visitation. In the final decree Judge Humphrey stated,

“Because of the potential danger to the children, Husband must remove all postings created by him from the internet concerning the children before any UNSUPERVISED visitation may commence and/or continue.”

Ms. Weissmann must have been a little confused about the situation which is understandable. Judge Humphrey’s order states that my web postings are only dangerous if I have UNsupervised visitation and not supervised visitation. I guess Judge Humphrey was concerned that if left unsupervised, I would allow my, now four and six year old, children to go to my website and read my internet postings. That would be a miraculous feat considering my oldest was just learning to read nine months ago.

Another false statement made by Leanna Weissmann was “Husband’s behavior in the courtroom required the presence of a police officer.” The officer was in the courtroom because it was his job. Judge Humphrey was angry with me because I kept questioning why I was not allowed to have Dr. Edward J. Connor’s evaluation case file when the law stated I was entitled to it. Judge Humphrey asked the officer to stand behind me. Actually it was an act of intimidation. If Judge Humphrey used a police officer to stand behind me to keep me from arguing for the rights of my children and me, then that’s an act of intimidation. If I was out of line, Judge Humphrey should have held me in contempt. Instead, he placed the threat of police action behind me for the three day proceeding.

Ms. Weissmann rambled on and on about my numerous pleadings and how I kept trying to obtain my ex-wife’s medical records from Dr. Connor. This is the spin they have put on the release of the case file since I requested it over two years ago. My ex-wife’s legal fees were not due to my numerous pleadings and attempts to get the case file; they were a result of her and Dr. Connor not honoring the agreement that we both signed at the beginning of the custody evaluation. She consented to the release of the case file at the beginning and then successfully fought to not release it. Now their argument is that the court did not release it because the court was afraid that I would post confidential information on the internet. I had requested the file over a year before they submitted any of my web material to court. I first requested Dr. Connor’s case file on March 6, 2008. I did not post anything on the internet until mid-September of 2008. I created a website to tell people about Dr. Connor’s false/conflicting statements. My first blog post came on February 25, 2009; nearly a year after I requested Dr. Connor’s case file. If my ex-wife and Dr. Connor would have honored their part of the bargain and released the file, she wouldn’t have accumulated a high amount of legal fees. The irony in the situation is if Dr. Connor would have released the case file to me per the agreement that my ex-wife and I both signed, my website and this blog would never have existed.

Another thing Ms. Weissmann wrote about was how I inconvenienced Judge Carl H. Taul. Leanna wrote, “Husband then attempted to subpoena Judge Taul to testify, requiring Judge Taul to hire counsel to quash the subpoena.” I am not aware if Judge Taul had to reimburse Deputy Attorney General, Betsy Isenberg, for her legal services because it was never mentioned in court. I do not know why Leanna Weissmann is privy to this new information. What I do know is Judge Taul and Dr. Connor communicated outside the presence of the parties, which is against the rules. In a letter dated February 25, 2008, Dr. Connor stated,

“With this letter please be advised that Hon. Judge Carl Taul contacted me on 2/22/08 to convey his agreement for the review of the above-captioned case.”

If you assume Judge Taul follows the laws, then you have to assume that Dr. Connor is lying because it would be illegal for Judge Taul to contact Dr. Connor and make arrangements for the parties without the parties’ input or knowledge. Since Judge Taul recused himself after participating in ex parte communications with Dr. Connor, the only way to find out if Dr. Connor was telling the truth was to subpoena Judge Taul. Rather than hold Dr. Connor and Judge Taul accountable for doing something illegal, the professionals in the system got mad at me for following the rules in trying to deal with the situation. Ms. Weissmann even tattled on me for picketing my former lawyer’s office. That has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I’m going to post more information on www.danhelpskids.com about the situation to expand on some of the ridiculous arguments they made as an argument to keep me away from the children. Some examples include:

-“Husband’s attacks on Dr. Connor revealed by Dr. Connor’s testimony that Husband posted Dr. Connor was involved in a three-way sex triangle with his office manager.” My ex-wife knows Dr. Connor lied about the statement because she submitted my blog to court that contained my actual comments. [Check out the following link to see how they distorted the truth http://danbrewington.blogspot.com/2009/03/to-all-of-people-who-thought-my-story.html. The blog post is about Dr. Connor’s former office manager that pled guilty, after an FBI investigation, to making $126,558 worth of unauthorized purchases with Dr. Connor’s credit card. Just another reason to question the accuracy of Dr. Connor’s records.]

-“Husband allowed the children to watch age inappropriate movies, claiming Disney movies were more detrimental to the children than “Austin Powers.” That’s what you get for making an argument that Shrek and Austin Powers both have crude humor involving flatulents and kicks to the family jewels.

-“Husband has Attention Deficit Disorder affecting his ability to concentrate.” You heard that correct. My ex-wife is arguing that people with attention deficit disorder should have supervised visitation with their children.

-“Husband’s psychometric test results reveal a degree of psychological disturbance.” Dr. Connor graded the tests and then would not give me all the information behind his conclusions.

Here’s a memo to the people in the system who continue to cry about my web postings, “Stop doing illegal and/or unethical things to keep me from my children.” I’m getting tired of lawyers and judges whining about me trying to intimidate them. Last time I checked, they were lawyers and judges. I was going to refrain from posting anything about the specifics of the briefs that were filed with the appellate court, but since Leanna Weissmann provided the appellate court with ex parte evidence and encouraged the court to do their own investigation, I felt compelled to address the matter directly. Maybe if people understand that they will be held publically accountable for their actions, they would conduct themselves in a more professional manner. Hopefully I'll be able to see my children after June 14th

I have a court date on June 14, 2010 and I hope that I will be “permitted” to see my girls. I have to appear in front of Dearborn County Circuit Court Judge James D. Humphrey. June 14, 2010 will mark the tenth month that I have been unable to see my four and six year old daughters. On August 18, 2009, Judge Humphrey terminated my visitation time with my daughters because he felt that I might be “potentially” dangerous. What will I have done in the ten months leading up to the hearing to demonstrate that I am not dangerous? I will have done nothing dangerous.

It doesn’t seem to make sense, does it? My ex-wife filed for divorce January 8, 2007. During the course of the 2 ½-year divorce, my ex-wife never called the police, social services, or filed any motions to modify or restrict parenting in an effort to “protect” our children. The custody evaluation report made no mention of me being a danger to anyone. I cared for my daughters nearly half of the time during the course of a 2 ½-year divorce. The first mention of terminating my parenting time came in the August 18, 2009 orders from Judge James D. Humphrey when Judge Humphrey terminated my parenting time because he felt that I might be potentially dangerous.

It has been nearly 3 ½ years since my ex-wife filed for divorce and I still have not harassed, threatened, emotionally abused, or assaulted my children or my ex-wife. There is no evidence of any dangerous behavior throughout the history of my life. My ex-wife claimed I was not stable. Dr. Connor rambled about concerns of what I “might” do. The following are a list of things that I have been accused of, or had to deal with and I still have not exhibited any “dangerous” behavior:

· Without warning, on August 18, 2009, Judge James D. Humphrey terminated my ability to see my precious little girls.

· I was accused of loving my oldest daughter more than my youngest daughter.

· I was accused of spending time with the girls just to hurt their mother.

· Dr. Connor, of Connor and Associates in Erlanger, Kentucky, stated his evaluation had “numerous errors and oversights” and he wanted to charge each party $350 for him to fix his errors.

· Dr. Ed Connor, who also supervises the staff at the Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky, stated that he had difficulties understanding me due to “severe” ADHD and that my writings were confusing and difficult to follow.

· Dr. Connor testified that my writings were similar to those of individuals who have committed horrendous crimes against their families despite the fact that I was not allowed access to these alleged writings.

· Dr. Connor caused the first judge in my case, Judge Carl H. Taul, to recuse himself because the two conducted private conversations outside the presence of the parties.

· Dr. Connor wrote that he would not release the case file from his child custody evaluation because I did not have a lawyer, which gave opposing counsel, Angela G. Loechel, access to evidence that I was not privy to.

· Dr. Connor lied about the release of his case file from the custody evaluation, see Dr. Connor's illusive case file, and then told Judge Taul that I could not comprehend confidentiality and I may suffer from “reality distortion”. See "When Psychologists Attack"

· Opposing counsel, Angela G. Loechel, submitted Dr. Connor’s Office Policy Statement for individual psychological services as evidence in her efforts to obstruct my access to Dr. Connor’s case file. Ms. Loechel was able to obtain evidence to which I was not entitled.

· On September 9, 2008, Dr. Connor wrote that I was not provided with a copy of his Office Policy Statement. Dr. Connor claimed that it was an oversight on the part of his office staff but it did not matter that I did not sign the document because it was an “adjunct document” to the court order.

· On May 27, 2009, Dr. Connor testified that his secretary had mistakenly provided the Office Policy Statement to my ex-wife and it was NOT an “adjunct document” to the court order. See Dr. Connor's testimony. This probably had something to do with my inability to understand Dr. Connor’s terms of confidentiality.

· My ex-wife testified that she thought I was bi-polar despite the fact that her own expert, Dr. Connor, said I was not bi-polar.

· I was found to be unstable, potentially dangerous, unable to communicate, and my writings were confusing and difficult to follow. They said I was unable to maintain a steady job and that I have debilitating ADHD; yet Judge Humphrey based my child support on an imputed income that is higher than anything I have ever made.

· I was accused of spanking my one-year-old daughter “real hard” for eating cat food. I still cannot grasp that.

· Dr. Connor and my ex-wife speculated that I might be addicted to my Ritalin prescription without consulting my doctor. After expressing concerns about Ritalin addiction, they expressed concerns about me not taking my medication on a regular basis.

· Dr. Connor and my ex-wife claimed my writings were confusing and difficult to follow yet Judge Humphrey was in possession of my legal pleadings, internet postings, etc… that consisted of tens of thousands of words; none of which were confusing or difficult to follow.

· I was accused of rushing my seventeen-month-old daughter to the pediatrician in an effort to show an interest in having and being a primary caregiver when historically I had not done so. I thought I was just rushing my daughter to the doctor because she was having difficulties breathing. She needed breathing treatments for a couple of weeks.

· My ex-wife testified that she was not sure if I allowed my five-year-old daughter to shoot a 357 Magnum handgun. For those who are not familiar with firearms, a 357 Magnum is a step below the 44 Magnum that Clint Eastwood made popular in Dirty Harry. Imagine what would happen if a five-year-old child shot Dirty Harry’s gun.

· Even though there was no testimony from the court staff, Judge Humphrey wrote that I tried to intimidate the court staff. I have the video/audio of the court staff grilling me as to why I want to inspect public records, and please visit the Dearborn County Police Harassment video on YouTube to see how the court staff used the local law enforcement to try to discourage me from inspecting public records.

· I was “investigated” by the Dearborn County Special Crimes Unit. “Someone” filed a complaint with Dearborn County Prosecutor Aaron Negangard regarding some of my writings. The only people who could possibly fall under the jurisdiction of Dearborn County are Judge James D. Humphrey and opposing counsel, Angela G. Loechel. Unfortunately, Detective Mike Kreinhop would not tell me who made the complaint or any specifics about the complaint. Detective Kreinhop, who is running for Dearborn County Sheriff, even drove to my mother’s home in Norwood, Ohio to find me for questioning. My lawyer and a Norwood Police Officer expressed concerns about Detective Kreinhop crossing state lines and entering a different jurisdiction without contacting the local law enforcement. Detective Kreinhop did tell me that he thought Judge James D. Humphrey became defensive because I challenged Dr. Connor and Detective Kreinhop said he thought Dr. Connor went on the offensive against me in the name of self-preservation. Detective Kreinhop acknowledged that Dr. Connor may have committed interstate wire fraud but told me that I would have to contact the FBI or the Indiana State Police because he was not going to get involved. After acknowledging that Dr. Connor lied under oath, retaliated against me, and committed interstate wire fraud, Detective Kreinhop and Prosecutor Aaron Negangard failed to do anything to prevent Dr. Connor from hurting other children and parents. Prosecutor Negangard failed to bring any charges against me after their alleged shakedo… er, I mean secret investigation.

· During the course of the divorce, Dr. Connor sent copies of correspondence between he and I to opposing counsel, Angela Loechel. Both Angela Loechel and Dr. Connor refused to provide me with copies of their correspondence and Ms. Loechel even advised Dr. Connor on how to protect his wife, Dr. Sara Jones-Connor, from me calling her to testify.

· Angela Loechel and the Dearborn County Circuit Court continued to communicate with Dr. Edward Connor, without my knowledge, after the final orders were issued.

· On September 5, 2009, my ex-wife stopped letting me talk to my daughters on the phone. After I filed a petition for contempt in the Indiana court because she would not let the girls talk to me on the phone, my ex-wife and her parents had me arrested in Hamilton County, Ohio for telecommunications harassment. Not only were they not going to let me talk to my children, they tried to punish me for trying to maintain a relationship with my girls by sending me to jail for an evening. Seven months after I was arrested, my former father-in-law added himself to the complaint. A week and a half later, the judge dismissed the charge. Check out a copy of the criminal complaint and the details of the arrest. Apparently, my ex-wife was mad because Hamilton County was not interested in punishing me for exercising my 1st amendment rights on my websites. I guess she found out that criminal courts follow real laws unlike the make-believe laws of the family court system.

· I underwent a competency evaluation with a psychologist with the Hamilton County Courts. After an hour, she asked me why I was there. She said that I was intelligent, well spoken and that I had a very good understanding of the law, especially civil law. To say the least, she was very shocked when I told her that Dr. Edward J. Connor said I had difficulties communicating due to my ADHD and Dr. Connor and Judge Humphrey felt I was potentially dangerous. She and the Hamilton County Judge were perplexed as to why Dr. Connor would not release a client’s own record.

· Judge Humphrey granted a hearing for my petition for contempt but later cancelled it stating he did not have jurisdiction over the matter while the case was in the appellate court. Indiana Appellate Rule 39 states “An appeal does not stay the effect or enforceability of a judgment or order of a trial court”. Either Judge Humphrey did not know that he retained the ability to enforce his order during the pending appeal or he lied about not having jurisdiction. Considering that Judge Humphrey is running for his 3rd six year term, I find it hard to believe that he did not know about Indiana Appellate Rule 39.

· Dr. Connor contacted the Hamilton County Judge and the Prosecutor’s office in attempt to further slander me. He also complained about my website. Given the reaction from the Judge, prosecutor, and the court psychologist, I believe Dr. Connor lost quite a bit of credibility with the Hamilton County court system. As I always say, if you have a problem with my internet writings Doc, sue me. For some reason he never does. The longer people go without suing me for slander, libel, etc... only serves to add credibility to my story.

· Did I mention that my ex-wife stole some property that belonged to my mother? She did this when she and her father entered my house without my knowledge. They took a 51” LCD television that my mother accepted in lieu of rent from a tenant. Mom had me move the television from her rental house across the road to my home. This took place six months after my ex-wife filed for divorce but she claimed it was marital property.

· Judge James D. Humphrey ordered that I had to pay my ex-wife nearly $170,000. We did not even own a house.

· I was invited to attend my daughter’s parent teacher conferences. After the conference, the principal agreed to let me see my daughter’s student file. In the file was a picture of me on my wedding day and a note in my ex-wife’s handwriting instructing the school to call the police if I appeared at the school for any reason. The principal told me that she did not know who wrote the note and claimed that I provided the school with a picture of me on my wedding day with my ex-wife cut out of the picture. If I would have provided the school with a wedding photo with my ex-wife cut out of the picture, I probably would have been arrested.

· Dr. Connor was licensed to practice psychology in the state of Kentucky but not Indiana. Lawyers tell me that this does not matter. Judge Taul stated the order to release [the evaluation] was for “the doctor to release that which he is required to do under Kentucky law.” I still cannot figure out why Indiana courts are going by Kentucky laws.

· When my Ohio lawyer requested Dr. Connor’s case file, Dr. Connor instructed him to get the file from me because Dr. Connor claimed that already had a copy of the file. Then Dr. Connor told my lawyer that he could not re-release the file because it contained confidential information. Dr. Connor later told my Indiana lawyer that there was a court order prohibiting him from releasing the file.

Imagine going through all of this without yelling and screaming. Imagine not fighting anyone. Imagine never leaving a profane message on an answering machine when the other parent terminates your ability to talk to your children on the phone. Imagine losing your children and taking it in stride. That is what I have had to do. If I blew up just one time, I would fit the label they tried to place on me.

Judge Humphrey said he was most concerned about my irrational behavior and attacks on Dr. Connor. Read my website and blog and tell me what part of Dr. Connor’s actions should not publically scrutinized. What should I do on June 14th? I guess I should just throw myself at the mercy of the court. I should take the stand and apologize to Judge James D. Humphrey for telling people that Dr. Edward J. Connor does not tell the truth. I will say I am sorry for publishing Dr. Connor’s conflicting and false written statements. I am sorry for posting the testimony of Dr. Connor because it is wrong for me to tell people that Dr. Connor lied under oath. I am sorry that I questioned why my ex-wife’s attorney, Angela G. Loechel, submitted a bogus document from Dr. Connor’s office in an attempt to deny my access to the case file or how Ms. Loechel was giving Dr. Connor legal advice to help protect Dr. Connor’s wife, Dr. Sara Jones-Connor, from having to testify. I am sorry for spreading my story because it provides support for parents like Scott, Kathy, John, Sherri, and Michael. I am sorry that I have been able to give insight and support to people in Australia, New Zealand, UK and other countries around the world. That is about all I can do because I do not have any evidence that I am not dangerous because there is not any evidence that says I am dangerous. I’m not at fault for all the people who have contacted me with similar complaints against Dr. Connor. It’s Dr. Connor’s fault for not doing his job. I have been slandered, harassed, arrested, and had the two most important things of my life stripped from me and I still have not done anything dangerous. What more do I need to prove?

I hope my story can give people some insight and support to stand up for their own causes. Almost any experience, whether good or bad, can be turned into a positive learning experience. When my children are older, they will be able to appreciate what sacrifice is and how we have to work hard to overcome obstacles in life. My children will always appreciate how I fought for them. The only thing that stands in the way of my children being united with their father are the people who are still trying to make an argument that I am potentially dangerous. They are the same people who do not want me to talk about the matter publically. If you have nothing to hide, there is no need to worry. I’m not worried. See you soon girls. I love you.

Using Technological Warfare to Battle the Family Court System

I wrote this post in response to a post on The Angry Dad, a blog by another father who is trying to bring awareness to the problems of the family court system but it was too long to post as a response.

One of the most frightening things in the world is public scrutiny. If you conduct yourself in an honest and dignified manner, you should not have anything to worry about. Divorce is bad for children. False accusations against parents are even worse. How many parents would rethink false accusations if they knew the public would have the evidence, or lack thereof, to debunk the accusations?

You want to talk public record? Let's talk public record. Final Decrees in divorces are public record. The final decree in my divorce says that I am potentially dangerous to my children so I need seek a psychological evaluation to determine if I am a safe parent. I cared for my children for half the time during a 2.5 year divorce. There were no allegations of abuse, neglect, domestic violence, the children not loving me, etc... My Ex never tried to modify parenting time. Judge James D. Humphrey terminated my parenting time with my children based mainly on the psychological testing and child custody evaluation performed by an unlicensed psychologist. When I requested the case file, which I am entitled to per the evaluator's contract, AND because it's my health record, AND because the evaluation is considered hearsay if the parties are not provided the evaluator's case file per Indiana Code 31-17-2-12. The first Judge, Carl H Taul, said he wasn't going to order the release of the file because he was not aware of Kentucky law. Dr. Edward J Connor Psy D is licensed in Kentucky. After Judge Taul recused himself following several ex parte communications with Dr. Connor, Judge Humphrey would not order the release of the case file citing that he felt that I would release confidential information. They denied my access to the evidence against me because I presented some kind of "potential risk." They did not even seal the file because it would have been an appealable matter. Then they built on the "potential risk" argument in the final hearing to the point that it might be dangerous to the children. Judge Humphrey wrote, "The Court is most concerned about Husband’s irrational behavior and attacks on Dr. Connor." Ironically, there is no evidence of any this "irrational" behavior on record despite all of my correspondence with Dr. Connor being in writing. The language of the state law uses the word "attack" in describing the process of discrediting a witness. If Judge Humphrey felt that I was such a risk, why did he deny my motion for a GAL? Why did he wait 2.5 months after the final hearing to terminate my parenting time?

Judge Humphrey wrote in the Final Decree, "Husband has posted information about the dissolution proceeding on his website, on his blog, and on various other sites, and continued to post information even after the hearing for a temporary restraining order wherein the Court's Order stated that the "Court may also consider evidence presented at this hearing regarding the temporary restraining order in regard to the Court's decision as to visitation and custody and how Respondent's actions my affect the best interest of the children now and in the future." What the Judge fails to mention was my Ex filed a motion for a temporary restraining order to have me take down my internet content because she claimed it was harmful to the children and the Judge denied it. The Court denied her request for the Court to force me to take down my internet content because it was not harmful to the children yet Judge Humphrey used my "non-harmful" actions against me in taking away my children.

The main point that gets lost in the argument is that if the judges would do their jobs, there would be no reason to publicize the issue. I would much rather be spending time with my children than sitting behind a computer but I feel I am setting a positive example for my children. Rather than resigning to being an estranged father, I am taking positive public measures to address the problem.

“The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppose.” -Frederick Douglass. The British Army thought the colonial "rebels" were barbaric because they hid in trees with their coonskin caps and shot at the British Army marching in formation. England was mad because they never face a foe like that before. The Courts cannot fight a battle on the internet; they can only try to keep us away from it. "To Keyboards!" (I would yell "to arms" but someone would make the argument in court that I was encouraging militant action. That's an example of fine line we have to walk.)

My Office Staff Ate My Homework

Sounds like a pretty pathetic excuse. The people involved with the family court system often preach about people taking responsibility for their actions. Dr. Edward J Connor chooses to blame everyone else.

“With regard to the Office Policy Statement, we do not have a signed Office Policy Statement for you on file. It appears you were not provided with this document when you initially came to our office, which was an oversight on the part of the office staff.” -Dr. Edward J Connor September 9, 2009.

“There was a form that was incorrectly given to Ms. Brewington from our secretary at the time, who is no longer with us.” -Dr. Edward J Connor’s testimony in the transcripts from the May 27, 2009 hearing.

“The form [Office Policy Statement] that Ms. Brewington signed is -- was incorrectly given to her by my secretary at the time.” -Dr. Edward J Connor’s testimony in the May 27, 2009 hearing.

“I don’t recall. My secretary would have done that.” -Dr. Edward J Connor’s testimony in the May 27, 2009 hearing. This was in response to my question asking Dr. Connor whom he contacted first when he discovered there were “numerous errors and oversights” in his report.

Ed Connor- “I don’t recall that – I – I did not contact her. My secretary may have, at that time. It’s possible that she might have called to see if she wanted an interview time. I don’t recall.”
Dan Brewington- “That’s not in the evaluation, the attempted phone call.”
Ed Connor- “Okay. Then apparently my secretary did not call.” -Dr. Connor claimed my mother was scheduled to be interviewed but never showed up. That may be because he never contacted my mother.

Dr. Connor blamed his office staff for failing to provide me with a copy of the Office Policy Statement. Then Dr. Connor blamed his secretary for having my Ex sign the document. Dr. Connor testified that his secretary was to blame for many of the communication problems during the course of the evaluation yet Dr. Connor still attacked me for questioning his ethics. Another problem Dr. Connor had with his office staff was his office manager was the subject of an FBI investigation for making $126,558.13 of unauthorized credit card charges with Dr. Connor’s corporate credit card. Not only did Dr. Connor fail to oversee his secretary’s practices during the course of conducting evaluations, Dr. Connor failed to notice that his office manager was using his credit cards until the total reached $126,558.13. The following is a press release from the US Department of Justice, dated Friday March 20, 2009:

FLORENCE RESIDENT PLEADS GUILTY TO CREDIT CARD FRAUD
COVINGTON, KY—Catherine Cahill, 47, of Florence, Ky., pleaded guilty today before U.S. District Court Judge David Bunning to an Information which charged her with Unlawful Use of a Credit Card.
Cahill was employed as office manager at Edward Connor & Associates, a general psychological services firm. She was authorized to make necessary purchases with a corporate credit card for the functioning of the business. Cahill used the corporate credit card to make authorized business purchases along with unauthorized personal purchases. These unauthorized personal purchases totaled $126,558.13.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The United States was represented in the case by Assistant United States Attorney Benjamin G. Dusing.

In a letter to Judge Carl H Taul, dated April 1, 2008, Dr. Connor wrote, “I am concerned as to Mr. Brewington’s intentions regarding this case file.” Dr. Connor testified that his “office staff” was not competent to schedule interviews or to provide documents to participants in custody evaluations and Dr. Connor’s office manager was investigated by the FBI for over a hundred thousand dollars worth of credit card fraud. I believe that is reason enough to question the accuracy of the information behind a report that affects the lives of my children.

If you have any questions about the welfare of children who are victims of Dr. Connor’s evaluations, please feel free to contact the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology at 502-564-3296. Feel free to contact Assistant Attorney General Mark Brengelman at 502-696-5627. You can also email Mr. Brengelman at Mark.Brengelman@ag.ky.gov and express your concerns regarding the Board’s ruling that Dr. Connor’s conduct is not an “apparent violation” of the laws governing psychology. Thank you Sheriff Grills

Hats off to the Sheriff of Ripley County, Thomas Grills. I sent out a packet of information to Sheriffs’ Departments and Prosecutors’ offices of Dearborn and Ripley County to let them know about Dr. Edward J. Connor providing psychological services to the County Courts while not being licensed to practice psychology by the State of Indiana. Sheriff Grills spoke with me for twenty minutes about my concerns with Dr. Connor and the family court system.

I don’t know what Sheriff Grills will do or can do but at least he demonstrated his professionalism in contacting a concerned citizen about an issue, unlike the other officials who received the information. Thanks Sheriff Grills.

Wild West Poker Game

Here is a quick random analogy:

I feel like I'm holding a straight flush in a high stakes wild west poker game.  I'm confident that nobody can beat my hand; I just hope the dealer doesn't have a gun under the table.

I have a mountain of evidence demonstrating that Dr. Edward Connor is a deceitful and despicable human being and I have done all of the preparation I can to get ready for trial.  The Judge is the dealer.  If the Judge shoots me down before I get a chance to show my hand, I'm screwed.  Actually it would lead to a nightmarish appeal.  I have set everything up so I have the ability to appeal any questionable rulings.  I have been trying to get a copy of the case file since March 6, 2008.  It's a shame that a father has to battle the system to ensure he has the ability to CONTINUE to spend equal time with his daughters.  I feel that my girls would be proud to know that their dad did everything to protect their ability to spend equal time with both parents.  That's what good daddies are for.

It's a dangerous game.

I just found out how dangerous the game is.  I never set out to beat the system.  I just began acting on my general instincts of right and wrong.  If I was going to lose time with my girls, I didn’t want to pay a crooked lawyer tens of thousands of dollars to do it.  Win or lose, I called the shots and I will never ask what if.  That has been my philosophy and I found out that my strategy couldn’t have been more right.

I always do research on Dr. Edward J. Connor, of Connor and Associates, PLLC.  I Google his name almost everyday to see if there is any new information on him.  Two weeks ago I found out Dr. Connor’s office was involved in an FBI investigation.  His office manager, Catherine Cahill, pled guilty to unauthorized use of a credit card to the tune of $126,558.13.  This past week I found an Indiana appellate case involving the former Judge in my trial, who recently withdrew from my case, and Dr. Connor.  When I reviewed the appellate case I knew I had to contact the father who was involved immediately.

The easiest part of fighting from your back is the thought that you can’t fall down any further.  I have had my girls nearly half the time during the course of this divorce.  If Dr. Connor’s evaluation somehow flew, I didn’t think it would be likely that the Judge would wander too far from the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines.  I thought he would order joint custody or close to equal time; man was I wrong.

I spoke with a guy who did everything by the system.  He had a lawyer.  He got his own professional witness to testify in court.  His professional witness testified to the biases of the evaluation conducted by Dr. Connor.  His witness testified to the inconsistencies that existed in the evaluation.  His professional expert was shocked to find out that the Judge didn’t take any of her testimony into account and gave the father less than the minimum time recommended by the State of Indiana because that was Dr. Connor’s recommendation.  What makes this even more disturbing is this was going on at the same time I was trying to get the evaluation case file from Dr. Connor.  On one hand you have a professional expert testifying to the problems in the evaluation, and in another case, I am filing pleading after pleading trying to figure out why the Judge isn’t forcing Dr. Connor to follow the rules and release the case file.  Why isn’t Judge Carl Taul questioning Dr. Connor’s practices?  It’s the Judge’s responsibility maintain control of those operating in his courtroom.  Dr. Connor was being fought from two very different angles; the status-quo legal way and my way.  If the Judge Taul ruled that Dr. Ed Connor’s evaluation was flawed or inadmissible in either case, he would have had a hard time letting it go in the other.  If he threw Dr. Connor out of both trials, the question that arises is how many other evaluations has Dr. Connor done for Judge Carl H. Taul of Ripley County and was Judge Taul aware that the other evaluations may be bogus as well?  Did Judge Taul do the right thing?  No.  He gave a loving father less time with his 8 year old son than recommended by the State of Indiana.  Luckily the father didn’t quit fighting for the right to see his son and the appellate court reversed the trial court’s decision on parenting time and sent it back to the trial court.  Ripley Circuit Court Judge Carl Taul gave me several conflicting reasons why he wouldn’t order the release of Dr. Connor’s case file and was trying to march me to the final hearing.  Judge Taul continued to communicate with Dr. Connor outside the presence of the parties.  Luckily I found the case of Garrard v. Stone less than three weeks before my final hearing and the Judge recused himself after I filed a Motion for a Change of Judge.

Dr. Connor won’t quit.  He wants to hurt me.  I found out that a guy with a lawyer and a professional expert got less than the minimum time.  What do you think Dr. Connor would have said about me in Court?  Dr. Connor wrote a letter to the Court asking for protection from having to talk to me because I appeared threatening.  He told the Judge that I may suffer from reality distortion.  Dr. Connor told the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology that I was potentially dangerous.  He told the Board that he had contacted an attorney about filing criminal and civil charges against me.  If I would have had to appear at the final hearing in December, I may have not been able to see my girls at all.  Ask yourself why Dr. Connor is working so hard to stay involved in this case.  He could have easily said that he felt threatened by me so he was withdrawing from the case.  Does he care about the welfare of my kids; probably not because he keeps telling the Judge and the Board how dangerous I may be to him but he has never mentioned that I may a hazard to my children or their mother.  It appears that he wants to hurt me because I continue to demonstrate that he doesn’t follow the law.  The only problem is that the Judge didn’t seem to notice (or care about) what Dr. Connor was trying to do to me.

The evaluation report recommended that I seek Cognitive Behavioral Therapy “as it relates to parenting.”  My treating therapist and medical doctor for ADHD didn’t even know what that meant.  If the guy who had a lawyer and an expert got a raw deal in court, could you imagine what the self represented dad who won’t keep his mouth shut would have gotten?

Judge Carl H. Taul of the Ripley Circuit Court gave numerous conflicting answers as to why Dr. Connor didn’t have to release the evaluation case file and failed to hold Dr. Connor accountable for misleading the Court and the parties of the child custody evaluation.  My former attorney, Thomas Blondell of Zerbe, Garner, Miller and Blondell, kept saying “I don’t know if it’s a bad evaluation.  I’m not a psychologist.”  Mr. Blondell charged me several thousand dollars for listening to me and then fired me citing “communication problems” when it came time to question Dr. Connor.  Dr. Connor said I wasn’t entitled to the evaluation case file because I was representing myself and then said that it was against the law for him to release the case file to me.  The Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology ruled that there were no apparent violations of law in my 237 page complaint against Dr. Connor and declined to even investigate it.  The Assistant Attorney General of Kentucky, Mark Brengelman, tried to convince me to only deal with his office and to not contact the Board directly.  Now Mr. Brengelman deletes my emails before he reads them because I have asked too many questions.

I may have re-written the rules of thinking outside of the box.  How do you think you battle powerful entities that don’t follow the rules?  You make up your own.  I got the Judge to remove himself from the case and then I subpoenaed him to appear to testify at the final hearing.  I requested a copy of Dr. Connor’s response to my complaint that I filed with the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology.  No one had ever done this and I could see why the Board could just sweep the problem under the rug.  The Deputy Attorney General of Indiana file a motion to quash (throw out) the subpoena of Judge Taul because I didn’t tender the required fees for the expense relating to appearing for a subpoena and they claimed that the Court speaks from the Court’s orders and the court record so the Judge doesn’t have to appear.  I filed a response stating there is no official record or order explaining what was said between Judge Taul and Dr. Connor when they decided to communicate outside the presence of the parties and the Indiana Judicial Code of Conduct states that a judge is not allowed to accept compensation or reimbursement for expenses if it gives the appearance of judicial impropriety.  (I keep thinking about Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack handing the guy a wad of cash and saying “keep it fair, keep it fair.”)  I may be subpoenaing the whole Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology to testify what laws Dr. Connor is allowed to break when conducting child custody evaluations.

All of these “officials” are backtracking.  I backtrack all of the time when I am putting my daughters’ toys together.  I get cocky and think I am above the instructions and before long I am backtracking because I have extra parts; but failing to follow the instructions is not against the law.  These officials are backtracking, not to correct errors or missed observations, but to cover themselves for failing to do their jobs in the first place.  What do the actions of all of these “officials” have in common; they all seem to have an interest in making sure Dr. Connor doesn’t fall.  They also seem to take offense to all of the problems I caused.  Sorry that I forgot to be intimidated.

Tell me what you think.  Dr. Connor said he found my writings to be confusing and difficult to follow.  Dr. Connor told the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology that he had a “two very large binders” full of documentation that supports his opinions of me but he didn’t provide them to the Board.  Dr. Connor’s office manager was investigated by the FBI for making $126,558 worth of unauthorized charges with Dr. Connor’s corporate credit card.  Catherine Cahill pled guilty in a U.S. District Court, and somehow it gets released to the media around 6 PM on a Friday evening where it would receive the least amount of coverage and was limited to a few local news websites.  If a server from Applebee’s were to steal a few hundred dollars by taking unauthorized tips from the customer’s credit cards, there would be a week long exposé.  I have someone on a Yahoo business listing review site personally attacking me for “nitpicking” Dr. Connor.  Personally I think it is Dr. Connor.  Something ain’t right folks.

I continue to post this information on my blog to get the word out and to help people who have been victimized by Dr. Connor.  Please pass this story on as I hope somebody with some kind of authority will have the nerve to do something about it.  People want to point fingers at deadbeat dads yet no one cares about the dads who fight tooth and nail just to have an equal part of their children’s lives.  Where is Oprah, Dr. Phil, Ellen, Glenn Sacks, or Alec Baldwin when you need them?  What about Hannity, Michael Savage, or Bill O’Reilly?  Where’s Mike Wallace, Steve Kroft, Leslie Stahl and the rest of the 60 Minutes gang?  How come the “voice of the common man”, Willie Cunningham of 700 WLW, hasn’t come to the rescue?  If someone talks to President Obama, tell him I’m trying to make the world a better place by fighting for change in the family court system.  I wonder what Barack Obama would do if Michelle tried to take Malia and Sasha away from him.  If you see President Obama, tell him I love my daughters just as much as he loves his.  It would be great to see someone dive in and stop evil people like Dr. Edward J Connor Psy. D. but I think I’d better keep working until the cavalry arrives.  Thanks for stopping by.
