The Public Needs Protection from the Prosecutors Office

In a move that can only be described as concerning, Dearborn County prosecutor Joseph Kisor, under the direction of Chief Prosecutor F. Aaron Negangard, is attempting to strip the public of our right to an open judiciary. They are asking that the names of all of the jurors in Dan Brewington’s trial be kept secret. (see Motion For Confidentiality Of Juror’s Names And Identities) They are saying that Dan is guilty of threatening witnesses, judges, and attorneys without any evidence or prior convictions. Mr. Kisor and Mr. Negangard are again using fear in order to try and influence the public; attempting to convince us, before a trial, that Dan is guilty of the charges against him and some sort of danger to society. The case they reference in support of their motion is one in which a man was convicted of murder. [873 N.E 2d 1120 (Ind. Ct. App. 2007)]

  1. Wow, sorry this is happening. Sure hope the light of this and truth will be told. This is a shame on people who are supposed to be standing for the law and not abusing it. False charges and lawyers trying to hide things.

  3. This isn't surprising to me at all. I was arrested in Dearborn Cty. for standing up for something very wrong that was happening to my family and put in Dearborn Cty. jail, was not allowed to make a phone call, and was not allowed to atempt to make bond. I was told by certain people that they believed I was set up regarding the arrest, my husband was told by a local mayor that he believed I wasn't allowed to make a phone call or post bond becase the head jailer was a friend of a local police officer who did not like me. He also told my husband that if he or the chief of police had known what was happening, they would have stopped it. Interesting comment, isn't it? After I was released, I called the Justice Dept. and told them what happened and I was told that my civil and federal rights had been violated. These people who think they are above the law and feel good after they push their weight around are disgusting thugs. They think they are winners when they do things such as were done to me, Mr. Brewington, and others; however, they are complete losers and are of the lowest character. They are too stupid to realize how disgusting they are. That is what makes us, their victims, the winners in the end. I am proud of standing up for what I believed was right and would do it again in a heartbeat. I can't wait to see these bullying thugs brought down by the justice system and it will happen. Beverly Valentine P.S. Although it says "anonymous" at the top, I have siged my name, as I am not fearful of anyone in Dearborn County.
